Heavy Equipment Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION

Must be able to operate an excavator, skid steer, and dozer, have management skills to oversee projects as well as effectively communicate with other employees. Operators should be able to read plans, perform layouts, haul equipment and perform all duties required to be a civil laborer.  Requires a strong consideration for safety.

WORK HOURS

Typical work hours are from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, five days per week.  Additional hours may be available upon management approval and are prescheduled.

PAY RANGE

Starting salary is $25-35 per hour DOE with performance bonuses and raises.  Overtime rate is one and a half times regular pay after 40 hours.  Payroll is paid bi-weekly. Holiday pay and sick pay included.

QUALFICIATIONS

• Valid Washington State Driver’s License
• High School Diploma/GED
• Read, speak & write English
• Must pass Pre employment drug screen
• Ability to work in adverse conditions
• Reliable transportation
• At least 2 years relevant experience 

REGULAR JOB DUTIES

• Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures.
• Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers.
• Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner. 
• Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation.
