General Labor Job

JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide labor under the direction Foreman/Job Manager to bring about completion of land excavation jobs.  Involves skillful use of vehicles and equipment.  Requires a strong personal consideration for safety.

WORK HOURS

Typical work hours are from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, five days per week.  Additional hours may be available upon management approval and are prescheduled.

SALARY RANGE

Starting salary is $18-$25 per hour DOE with incentives.  Overtime rate is one and a half times regular pay after 40 hours.  Payroll is paid bi-weekly.

QUALFICIATIONS

• High School Diploma/GED
• Read, speak & write English
• Must pass Pre employment drug test
• Ability to work in adverse conditions
• Reliable transportation

REGULAR JOB DUTIES

• Attend crew meetings
• Perform all duties as instructed by the Foreman/Job Manager
• Keeps work area and equipment clean and orderly
• Services/fuels vehicles and equipment
• Assists other crew members as needed
• Loading, lifting, dragging pulling as needed

JOB CLASS

Heavy physical stress on back.  Outside craftsman involves frequent lifting (heavy) over 50 pounds, often combined with bending, twisting, working above ground or on irregular surfaces.
