Site Preparation Services

Conducting a survey is not always required but can avoid problems down the line should a dispute or requirement for the  permitting process arise. We have our own surveyor and if your planning on constructing near a property line it something that should be done for peace of mind and  generally does not cost as much as you would think.

Part of site preparation is determining the location and path for your utilities like electric water and cable. Having these areas already determined, prepped and inspection ready can reduce your construction costs and inspection lead times.

Connecting to sewer services or a septic tank is another area of concern that we can help you with.

The Pacific Northwest see's a lot of precipitation almost year round. Ensuring that your build site is properly graded and has a clear path for drainage that wont create another problem somewhere else is very important. Water damage is one of the most prevalent hazards when it comes to site preparation and can be costly and inconvenient to repair and correct after the fact. 

Depending on your project, an over looked part of site prep is access. Gaining access to the site during and after the construction should be carefully thought out and examined. It doesn't need to be finished or paved but having a clear and level area for equipment and vehicles to access the site will have an impact on building costs down the line. Better to take care of it beforehand so that access to site looks appealing to the builder as it can affect pricing.

You may have trees, brush, and uneven terrain at the site location. Having trees, stumps, and undesirable soil removed and backfilled will ensure you have a solid sub-foundation for building and ensure that you don't roots or material that will give and move over time causing  foundation failure that can be expensive to repair. 

We have all the necessary equipment to quickly clear, level, and dispose of debris removed from the area that you are wanting to build on. 

You may have a structure already present where you want to build or have an old foundation that is already there. Either way we can demolish any structure and dispose of it properly as well as breaking up any concrete slab sidewalk or slab that may be in the way. We use a variety of tools and equipment to do this efficiently reducing the cost and time of doing it manually or with inadequate equipment as we have seen time and time again.
